Gina Keefe

The Practical Yogi

Engaging, confident and radiating with love, the co-founder and brain of One Yoga challenges you to show up to the mat to reveal what gifts it holds!

Born in Oswego, NY, Gina enthusiastically left the snow behind to move to Clermont in 1996 with her family. With both a Bachelor and Masters degree in Elementary Education, in was in the late 90's Gina's focus shifted to fitness and began working as a personal trainer. An avid lover of cooking, Gina also began coaching clients in nutritional education.

Rich with passion and determination, it is no surprise that fitness was the thread that ran through Gina's life. Studying martial arts in college and competing in bodybuilding events in her thirties, it wasn't until Gina practiced yoga that she found what she had been searching for all those years.

Gina's yoga journey began during a morning TV show, Inhale with Steve Ross. From there, she was hooked. In 2008, Gina had completed her first 200 hour training. In 2009, Gina completed the 500 hour training with Atmanada Yoga. With teaching at the core of her spirit, Gina was able to coax her personal training clients into her dining room for her first yoga sessions.

In the most practical sense, Yoga is a way of life for Gina--on and off the mat.  On a personal level, yoga has been pivotal in helping her manage depression. Gina realizes that what makes yoga so special is the powerful physical movement combined with deep spiritual awareness and emotional healing. Besides the physical strength, Gina has gained compassion and hope.

Gina's class will teach students how to be playful, how to be present, how to lovingly care for oneself and how to fully inhabit time given on this earth.  When you attend Gina's class you will begin a deeper sense of awareness, peacefulness and understanding. The themes behind Gina's class are intimate and heart centered. Gina connects her world with the traditional yoga philosophy to provide an incomparable experience.

Whether you find personal insight or a muscle you never knew existed, Gina's class always gives back to her students. In order to attend Gina's class you don’t have to be young, flexible, vegetarian or liberal--all you have to do is come as you are and smile!

Sarah Blake

From Student to Teacher

Both delightful and dynamic, this athlete will encourage you to stand strong!

Born and raised in a small suburb of London, England, Sarah began competing in Water Skiing events at a young age. Representing Great Britain, Sarah traveled throughout Europe and placed 4th in the 1994 Junior World Waterski Championship. Thanks to the beautiful weather and surrounding lakes of Clermont, Sarah was drawn to the local area and visited for the first time when she was eleven years old. In 1997, Sarah completed her sports science degree in England and  moved to Clermont full-time to raise her family. A dedicated mother of three and preschool teacher, Sarah quickly found herself short on time to exercise.

Sarah began practicing yoga from DVD's at home and soon found herself gaining much more than originally desired. Constantly on the go, Sarah has found that yoga provides the peace of mind and focus needed in a working moms schedule. In 2012, Sarah found herself at the doorstep of One Yoga & Fitness hoping to further improve her mind and body. One Yoga quickly became a second home.

Now Sarah hopes to provide the same support for her class that she received as a student of the studio. Sarah's instruction will help you find balance in your daily routine and reach new levels of fitness by restoring personal goals. Her classes will leave you encouraged to defeat any obstacles. Simply, you can leave your day at the door, be who you are and gain the strength to always bounce back.

Carole Beard

Changing lives through love and yoga

Compassionate, kind, gentle yet firm, Carole brings a unique experience to her yoga class. You will never work as hard during, or feel as good after one of her classes!

From the island of Oahu to the Northeast coast, Carole has traveled the states gathering life experiences and a love and respect for all cultures and people. Graduating from Penn State with a degree in Psychology, Carole worked with various populations in both New York and Philadelphia. In 1997 she relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona. It was here that she began her career in the health industry. Becoming a Certified Personal Trainer, she was able to help others with their health and fitness. She competed at the National level for Fitness America, and earned her Pro Card with NPC as a Figure Competitor. In an effort to gain muscle naturally, Carole began powerlifting. She competed and set National records for the bench press, squat, and dead lift. With her roots in Hawaii, and deep love of Asian culture, Carole pursued a certification in Feng Shui from the New York School of Feng Shui. In conjunction with this she also attained her Advanced Life Coaching Certification from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. The marriage of personal training, feng shui, and life coaching gave her the ability to approach clients from a holistic place, helping them change their health and fitness, home and office environments, and ultimately their lives.

The years of weight lifting had taken its toll. With severe back pain and sciatica, Carole was diagnosed with scoliosis in her lower back that had been exacerbated by lifting weights. She turned to yoga for help and took her first Vinyasa Flow class. Combining chiropractic care, massage therapy, and yoga, Carole began to heal herself.

Through my practice I have realigned my spine. I am pain free. I now have a healthy spine and a healthy, happy life. That is the power of Bikram Yoga.”

In 2009 Carole took her first Bikram Yoga class. She was hot. She was miserable. She had never worked so hard in her life. But at the end she had never felt better! After remarrying and moving to Orlando, Carole began
practicing Bikram regularly. Her husband has been a practitioner for many years. He was a long time runner and had found that Bikram alleviated his aches and pains and prevented injuries. Carole had a love-hate relationship with Bikram and it wasn’t until she completed her first 30 day challenge (30 classes-30 days) that she completely embraced this yoga.

In 2013 Carole attended Bikram Teacher Training in Los Angeles, CA. A 9 week intensive training course, requiring 90 classes in 9 weeks, and attendance at daily lectures, workshops and posture clinics led by professionals from around the world. Logging in over 800 hours of study, Carole emerged prepared to teach and has never looked back. She continues to grow as a teacher, and is committed to continuing her education in order to help her students to best of her abilities. In 2014 she attended a workshop in Raleigh with Jim Kallet, a respected and long-time Bikram teacher. Here she gained a deeper understanding of the postures. And in 2015 she attended the Teach From Love workshop in Boston, MA. This week-long workshop hosted by Teri Almquist and Diane Ducharme was an enlightening experience, and gave Carole the tools to bring more love and healing energy into her class. Helping others is her passion and her life’s purpose.

The Bikram classroom is the perfect venue for Carole to express the culmination of her skills and
talents. Providing students with a safe environment to heal both body and mind is her goal. Come take her class and begin your personal journey toward health and happiness!

Mary Sibley

The “You Just Can’t Do It Yet” Yogi

Fun-loving, Believer in Infinite Possibilities, Optimist, Strong and Committed to the belief that Baptiste Power Yoga is for every BODY Raised in New England, Mary and her husband left the dreary cold 30 years ago and have enjoyed Florida’s sunshine ever since.

Mary was a late yoga bloomer, first stepping on her mat when she retired in 2012. From that first practice, Mary was hooked and now cannot imagine life without practicing and teaching yoga. Mary sees the yoga mat as a microcosm of your world. Yes, yoga builds strength, flexibility and focus. But more importantly, yoga gives you the opportunity to take the lessons you learn about yourselves on the mat to the outside world helping you to be a better family member, friend and person.

Come as you are, use what you have and do what you can!

Mary’s goal in every class is to provide inspiration in addition to perspiration. She creates an atmosphere conducive to personal growth by framing yoga as a place to: come as you are, use what you have and do what you can. And Mary encourages you to celebrate your personal growth.

Joe Cuccaro

ENERGY
COMPASSION
PASSION
SERIOUS
PLAYFUL

Joe Cuccaro is a retired IT professional after 37 years with Darden restaurants. After a major change in lifestyle 14 years ago, Joe stumbled into a Bikram yoga studio. He thought he was having a heart attack, but went back the next day and the next.

After a very short time Joe noticed changes not only his body, but in his mind. He went from a worrying corporate professional, to a relaxed individual with a calm state of mind. After three years of practice, Joe decided to make a big leap and teach. He wanted to share with others the same benefits he had received. His studio owner encouraged him to go to the Bikram teacher training program. In his words "it was the most challenging but best thing I've ever done in my life".

Joe teaches his class with high energy, passion, and compassion. He seems to have a knack for making people work hard without realizing it. In Australia they call him "the smiling assassin". Joe doesn't want to make people work hard, he makes them "want to work hard". That is his definition of a good teacher.

Joe retired at 55 and now gets to live his passion teaching yoga. Joe has attended many seminars from senior Bikram teachers, but was also lucky enough to spend several months with the Australian national champion. He got to learn in detail the the benefits, and proper form of each posture.

Joe doesn’t want to make people work hard, he makes them “want to work hard”. That is his definition of a good teacher.

Orlando is home, but Joe travels and has taught in Detroit, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Australia, Palm Desert California, and Graz Austria. In addition to Bikram, Joe also trained to teach baptiste method power yoga. Teaching that style is different, but just as rewarding. It has helped him grow immensely as a teacher, and as a person.
There's nothing he would rather do. His goal is to constantly learn and grow as a teacher. Joe says seeing the changes in his students it is far more rewarding than any corporate job. Joe describes himself an "average Joe" who is living proof yoga is for everyone.
